I'm going to call this attempt number 16,512 to blog efficiently, often, and without too much personal emotion, but just enough to keep you reading. Only, this time, with more pictures, more research, more pun/sarcasm, and hopefully, more interesting posts. I will attempt to touch more on "what's going on right now"(i.e. things I'm currently infatuated with), books that I am reading, music, and possibly, things that are going on with school.
So... Now that the awkward introduction is poorly constructed above, let me begin my first post with the epicness that is Avatar.(Even though I'm REALLY late on it...)
Not only is this 3D-film beautiful and pleasing to the eye, but it also has a great story. Which, I'm sure we all know by now, has become somewhat controversial, completely picked apart, and analyzed in every which way possible. All politics aside, I thought Avatar was original, stunning, and wonderful. That being said... Did it deserve "Best Picture" at this years Golden Globes? Not quite. Though I completely agree with Cameron taking home the "Best Director" award, I feel as if the other nominees were a bit more deserving. Maybe I'm a bit biased because Sci-Fi isn't necessarily "my thing".

One last thing I would like to touch on before my head hits the pillow: COACHELLA. The set list was announced yesterday, and I must admit, I am completely thrilled and more than content with it! Take a look for yourself.
I will be going all three days, enduring the blazing hot desert sun, and camping as well. My sister is actually flying down from Northern California to join Brie and I. Today I decided to take the full week off (it's almost easier to take vacation time with work that way...)
I really can't wait for the experience PERIOD. But, as far as the music goes (which is what it is ALL about!!!!), I'm overly ecstatic for -DAY 1- JAY Z (ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D), Vampire Weekend, Grizzly Bear, Passion Pit, Grace Jones, She & Him, The Avett Brothers, The Dillinger Escape Plan, As Tall As Lions -DAY 2- Muse (sexy), MGMT (again, sexy), Hot Chip, Coheed and Cambria (I haven't listened to them since high school and I'm excited to reminisce), Sia, Camera Obscura, Portugal. The Man (one of THE best bands I've EVER seen live) -Day 3- (this is the day I could almost do without but...) GORILLAZ AND THOM MOTHA FUCKIN' YORKE (ARE YOU KIDDING MEEEE?!), Yo La Tengo, MUTEMATH, Matt & Kim, Little Boots.
Though, those are the sets I'm looking the most forward to, I will most definitely be arriving with an open mind and hopes of falling in love with as much music as possible. I've never been to Coachella, and have heard mostly amazing things. I'm going to be counting down the days! (85 more, in case you were wondering).
Lastly, if you are going to Coachella (especially if you are camping), let me know! We can attempt to meet up and dance!!!
